The company is headed by an ex army officer, Col (Retd.) Mahesh Sharma. He has done a thesis on "Personal Investment Planning" as part of his curriculum in M. Tech. in Management & Systems from IIT Delhi. After taking premature retirement in 1997, he converted his interest in finance, stock market and investments into business opportunity by setting up a business opportunity by setting up a proprietary company by the name of “Surakshit Investment Consultants” which has, over the years, evolved into "Surakshit Securities Pvt. Ltd". He has got a lot of experience and knowledge about the stock market and tax planning and has been investing in the stock market since the late 1970’s.
Vikas Sharma, the second director of the firm, is the son of Col Sharma. Vikas Sharma is an MBA in Finance from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. He has specialized in Portfolio Management, Risk Analysis and Investment Analysis. He has been there in the organization ever since it was floated. Technical Analysis is his work-cum-hobby and he spends most of the day analysing charts and predicting the future.
